Overview
As tobaccos limitations were reached, people began to search for new crops to grow for commercial use, and people quickly began to rely upon cotton.
- Cottons reasons for prevailing over tobacco were endless, but it had several primary advantages.
- Cotton had far more uses in every day life than tobacco, most notably in the textile industry.
- Tobacco could only be sold to people who used it for ingesting it in some form, while cotton was used by almost everyone.
- There was no "Counterblaste to Cotton" or any other forms of criticism aimed at cotton.
